Message From Chairman

It’s my pleasure to welcome you to Department of Finance & Banking, Jashore University of Science & Technology. For culminating a country’s economic development, nourishing Finance and Banking sector of the country is crucial. As our country is pacing fast toward its sustainable development goal, growth of these sectors will ensure sustainable economic growth and development of the country, a vital objective to be achieved by Bangladesh. Furthermore, Finance and Banking Industry work as intermediary between the savers and the investors, which elevates the GDP or national income escalation of the country. Hence, Department of Finance and Banking had started its journey in Jashore University of Science & Technology in 2017 with the aim to take part in achieving the goal of economic development and industry growth. This department aims to develop human resource who will possess financial and banking knowledge with professionalism skill so that, the finance and banking industry get young and efficient professionals who will grow the industry with their efficiency in operations and innovation of the financial products.

As a fresh start of our Department, we are now offering Bachelor of Business Administration program (duration of 4 years) only. In addition to that, we are expecting to set forth Master of Business Administration Program very soon. The classrooms of this department are equipped with projectors, computers and sound systems for interactive learning of the students.

We offer fundamental courses such as basic communication course, principles, corporate finance, investments, as well as other advanced courses of finance like security analysis, investment banking, which assist our graduates in facing the volatile global economic environment, and provide them the professional financial and technical training to face the competitive job market.

We believe the students of our Department will build a strong ethical, professional and academic knowledge base from our Institution by following our instructions, trainings and other academic pursuits. Our dedicated faculties are fully committed to assist each student whatever they need for building themselves for their career objective. Beside the normal academic functions, the faculties are extensively occupied with research works on financial and banking industries. Outside the classroom, students benefit from an extensive alumni network which provides internships and career opportunities.
